EVRG QTLY COMMUNITY MEETING (HYBRID)

At 5:30 pm. EVRG welcome provides updates since last meeting, wraps up 2024-2025 Board Member nominations, and encourages in person votes. 

Your 2024 Board Member (7) Nominations:  (Incumbents):  Bob Link (2023 President), Robyn Spencer (2023 VP), Mary Soriano (2023 Secretary), Jeana Wallace (2023 Social Comm. Chair), Jackson Spencer (Communications Comm. Chair), Tricia Moore, and one write in candidate.  In person attendance required to vote by 7:00pm.

Guest Speakers include:

Clayton Fowler, Civic Engagement Coordinator, Downtown Partnership (https://downtownsandiego.org/) reviewing DSDP role of "Building the kind of live, work, play lifestyle others can only dream of in the heart of San Diego. Because every great city has a great Downtown."  DSDP 'O' Lot Safe Camping site role updates anticipated.

Alonso Vivas, DSDP Sr. VP & Clearn and Safe Executive Director (https://downtownsandiego.org/clean-and-safe/) reviewing multifacted role including:

. Maintenance Ambassadors - Keeping Downtown’s sidewalks and public spaces clean and beautiful

. Safety Ambassadors - Providing additional safety services in Downtown’s urban neighborhoods 24 hours a day, seven days a week, year-round

. Beautification and Placemaking - Bringing moments of color, whimsy, and joy to Downtown’s public spaces

. Unhoused Care - Reducing Downtown homelessness through connections to appropriate resources

. 'O' Lot and 20th & B Safe Camping Site Community feedback is anticipated.

Paola Aguirre - Rep for San Diego County Supervisors Chairwoman Nora Vargas (https://www.sandiegocounty.gov/)  - addressing Community Services updates.  Questions regarding SD County role in Community Assistance, Recovery, and Empowerment ​​Act is deferred to JAN 18, 2024 EVRG Quarterly Community meeting when City/County/State role collaboration has advanced.

DSDP 5:35pm, Clean & Safe 6:00pm, County Supervisor rep 6:30 pm

All questions must be in writing in advance or at the event. The EVRG Board will select amongst the written questions focused on the meeting topical issues  to maximize the opportunity to address a balance of attendee concerns during the available QA timeframe. Lengthier questions may be summarized to optimize question and reply opportunity. Virtual questions submitted by Chat will be considered in mix of questions asked and will be included with written questions, anticipating replies.  All questions will be forwarded in their entirety for written replies.
